  16.   I just purchased Datamost's
  17.  
  18. KWIK-LOAD program. The program does
  19.  
  20. just what it promises to do, but
  21.  
  22. not a darn bit more.  KWIK-LOAD works
  23.  
  24. wonderfully with just plain BASIC
  25.  
  26. programs.  With KWIK-LOAD installed,
  27.  
  28. BASIC programs are LOADed or SAVEd
  29.  
  30. between three and ten times faster
  31.  
  32. (usually three times faster), but
  33.  
  34. commercial disks (including LOADSTAR)
  35.  
  36. interfere with KWIK-LOAD in some way. 
  37.  
  38. Either the LOAD is not successful or
  39.  
  40. the program will not RUN.

  44.   The problem would appear to be that
  45.  
  46. the addresses used by KWIK-LOAD are
  47.  
  48. not very safe. I believe this to be
  49.  
  50. true since even unprotected software,
  51.  
  52. such as LOADSTAR, fail when KWIK-LOAD
  53.  
  54. is active. And everyone knows that
  55.  
  56. there are not many commercial programs
  57.  
  58. which are written in plain old vanilla
  59.  
  60. BASIC.

  63.   In any case, I count KWIK-LOAD among
  64.  
  65. the successful programs I have
  66.  
  67. purchased. It's cheap (advertised at
  68.  
  69. $7.99 in the Detroit area) and does
  70.  
  71. what it promises to do.
